Chicken Soup for the High Tech Middle Media Arts Soul
Creative Writing Welcome to 7th grade creative writing! This semester you will be challenged to integrate two skills: creativity, and writing. Writing a story that is free from spelling and grammar errors does not always constitute “great” writing. Great writing is about writing what is in your heart. Bringing your passions and ideas to a blank paper are the secrets to creating beautiful work. I challenge you all to write a small portion of yourselves into your writing so that we can share the greatness and joy inside of everyone. Start off with yourself and we will work on the grammer. Skills in proof reading, peer editing, and revising will be addressed. The semester will culminate with the “Chicken Soup for the HTMMA Soul.” Students will write eight journal entries based on a particular theme. Once the student has written eight journal entries he or she will choose two stories to revise. Once the revision process is complete the student will send their story to publication. Required Reading (In parts, though sometimes in entirety)All required reading will be provided by Mr. Anthony
